The GeForce RTX 40 series of graphics cards will not change this year, but next year the line of desktop graphics adapters should be expanded with RTX 40 SUPER modifications with improved performance.

According to leaks from Kopite7kimi, who has previously been accurate in his predictions about NVIDIA’s plans, the company intends to provide official information about new graphics cards at CES 2024. This annual consumer electronics trade show takes place in Las Vegas, USA, and has seen better days before COVID-19. All major PC hardware manufacturers are expected to participate in the next CES.

New models of graphics cards with an additional SUPER index will have more CUDA cores and in some cases more memory compared to existing adapters. Therefore, NVIDIA will try to further strengthen its position in the upper segment.

RTX 40 SUPER specs

The GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER is rumored to have a full AD103 GPU with 10,240 CUDA cores and 16 GB of GDDR6X memory. The rumored RTX 4070 Ti SUPER will use a processor with 8448 CUDA cores, with the memory capacity of this model expected to increase to 16 GB.

Recent leaks indicate that the RTX 4070 SUPER will have a GPU with around 7168 cores, but it will continue to use the 12GB memory configuration as the classic RTX 4070 model. Whether the presentation at CES will also be a product launch or just an announcement remains to be seen.
