The legendary Beatles released the last song with John Lennon’s voice. It’s called “Now And Then,” and it was created using artificial intelligence, writes The Verge.
Back in the summer, band member Paul McCartney said that AI helped him “extract” Lennon’s voice from an old demo recording to complete the song. At the time, it was not officially disclosed which song it was, but there were guesses that it was “Now And Then.”
Now Paul McCartney says that he is delighted with this work.
“To still be working on Beatles music in 2023… wow. We’re actually messing around with state-of-the-art technology, which is something the Beatles would’ve been very interested in,” he shared.
The composition is already receiving positive feedback, including from John Lennon’s son. He believes that his father would have liked it.
“My dad would’ve loved that, because he was never shy to experiment with recording technology. I think it’s really beautiful,” said Sean Ono Lennon.
John Lennon was the founder and member of The Beatles. He wrote “Now And Then” in the late 70s. On December 8, 1980, the singer was killed by Mark Chapman, who had taken his autograph shortly before.
