Microsoft has started updating the Xbox app on Windows 11 to improve its performance on portable devices and small screens, reports The Verge.

In the latest updates to the test version, the app has a compact mode that optimizes the app’s interface for devices like the 7-inch ROG Ally portable console.

The company sees great potential in portable devices and consoles, among other things. Phil Spencer said that for him, ROG Ally is like a pocket Xbox.

In July, he wrote on social media that the company is focused on improving the experience of Game Pass and Xbox users and that they still have a lot of work to do, so we can expect more updates like this in the future.
