Ubisoft has announced system requirements for the upcoming game Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. To comfortably explore Pandora, admiring the mysterious landscapes, you will need a fairly powerful PC.
The minimum requirements for gaming in Full HD mode with low picture quality and performance at 30 fps are that the platform be equipped with a Ryzen 5 3600 or Core i7-8700K processor. You will also need a graphics card such as a Radeon RX 5700 8 GB, GeForce GTX 1070 8 GB, or Intel ARC A750.
To get the desired 60 fps with high picture quality settings, Ryzen 5 5600X and Core i5-11600K processors and Radeon RX 6700 XT 12 GB or GeForce RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB graphics adapters are recommended.
For 1440p mode, the processor power requirements do not change, but you will need more efficient graphics cards – Radeon RX 6800 XT 16 GB or GeForce RTX 3080 10 GB.
For those who want to try Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora in 4К mode, the developers recommend equipping the system with Ryzen 7 5800X3D or Core i7-12700K processors. The demand for graphics adapters is even more striking – Radeon RX 7900 XTX 24 GB or GeForce RTX 4080 16 GB. The table indicates that to achieve 60 fps, you will have to use FSR2 scaling in Balanced mode.
For all cases, it is assumed that the system will be equipped with at least 16 GB of RAM, running Windows 10/11 with DirectX12, and have 90 GB of free SSD space.
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora will include reflections and shadows with ray tracing, as well as advanced graphical settings that allow for detailed customization of many visual elements.
The game was developed in partnership with AMD, so it is not surprising that Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora will be one of the first projects to support FSR 3, and the new scaling technology will be implemented initially. FSR 2, Intel XeSS, and NVIDIA DLSS are also supported (without specifying the version yet). Judging by the stated system requirements, intelligent scaling will be needed regardless of the level of the video card.
The developers also promise to utilize the potential of multi-core processors, providing smooth operation and stable fps.
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora has a built-in benchmark with detailed statistics that will allow you to evaluate the impact of various settings on the final performance. As you know, any game gets better with an integrated benchmark, so Avatar will obviously become another performance measure that will be used to evaluate the capabilities of your PC.
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora will be available on December 7, 2023 on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Amazon Luna. Those interested can already place a pre-order. The basic Standard Edition for PC is priced at 1519 UAH ($40).
