Reportedly, well-known insider Tyler McVicker has spoken to people involved in the project and managed to get important information about Valve’s new third-person shooter. This game is generating a lot of interest among the Valve community mainly because many call it “Half-Life inspired” and the features mentioned above are really reminiscent of the famous Valve franchise. We don’t know about the release date yet, but Tyler said that we are “close to the announcement”.

Expected game features:

  • competitive third-person shooter with features based on classes and teams
  • two teams on a very large playing field with the ultimate goal of defeating the boss at the other team’s base
  • each class will have unique abilities and personalities
  • науково-фантастичний наратив з оповіданням «на рівні з DOTA»
  • the maps are huge, you can ride trains
  • voxel-based destruction allows you to almost completely destroy maps
  • different classes can give commands to their team

It is quite possible that the release of Neon Prime will not lag behind the announcement. After all, Valve announced Counter-Strike 2 on March 22; the game was subsequently released on September 27, about six months later.
