Xiaomi has unveiled its 14th series of flagship smartphones, the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro, which feature the recently announced Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, updated design, and Leica-branded main cameras, all complemented by the new HyperOS operating system.

As a reminder, Xiaomi continues to actively operate in Russia and is classified by the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (NAPC) as an international war sponsor.

Xiaomi 14 Pro

The body of Xiaomi 14 Pro has polished metal sides, which differ from the curved edges of its predecessor, and a frosted glass back cover.

The smartphone has a 6.73-inch LTPO OLED display with a resolution of 3200 x 1440 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz, like the 13 Pro, but with an impressive brightness of up to 3 000 nits and thinner bezels.

The device will be available in black, white, mining green, and an exclusive Titanium Special Edition with a matte titanium alloy frame.

The Xiaomi 14 Pro camera system consists of three modules:

  • 50-megapixel Light Hunter 900 1/1.31″ camera with a Leica Summilux lens with variable aperture from f/1.42 to f/4.0;
  • 50-megapixel 75 mm f/2.0 telephoto camera with floating autofocus, which allows it to capture images from a distance of 10 cm from the subject;
  • 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle f/2.2 14 mm camera with the ability to take macro shots from 5 cm.

The Xiaomi 14 Pro is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, has up to 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1 TB of UFS 4.0 fast storage, a built-in 4880 mAh battery, and supports 120W and 50W wired and wireless charging.

For the time being, the smartphone will be sold only in China, its price in terms of Chinese yuan will be €650 for the 12/256 GB version, €710 for the 16/512 GB version, and €780 for the 16 GB/1 TB version.

Xiaomi 14

Xiaomi 14 is similar in design to the Pro model, but in a more compact form, identical in size to its predecessor. The smartphone will be available with a glass back cover and eco-leather coating.

The device has a 6.36-inch LTPO OLED screen with a resolution of 2670×1200 pixels, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and a peak brightness of 3 000 nits.

The camera capabilities are almost identical to the 14 Pro, with minor differences in the main camera lens and ultra-wide-angle camera capabilities.

The main 50-megapixel camera has the same 1/1.31″ sensor as the Light Hunter 900, but with a fixed aperture of f/1.6. The ultra-wide-angle lens with a resolution of 50 megapixels lacks autofocus, and therefore lacks macro capabilities.

The smartphone is also powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and will be available in configurations with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage. The 4610 mAh battery supports 90W and 50W wired and wireless charging.

Xiaomi 14 will also be sold only in China for the time being, its price will depend on the amount of RAM and built-in memory and will be €520 for 8/256 GB, €560 for 12/256 GB, €600 for 16/512 GB, and €700 for 16 GB/1 TB.
