The popularity of the Threads platform is gradually growing. Currently, the service has just under 100 million active users per month. This figure was announced by Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, writes 9to5Mac.

This figure is impressive, in part because Threads is still not available to millions of people living in the European Union. However, Meta expects to turn it into a “public conversation app for a billion people” that will be “more positive” than some competitors. Mark Zuckerberg says Threads is on track to achieve this goal.

“I think that if we keep at this for a few more years, then I think we have a good chance of achieving our vision there,” said Meta CEO.

The mention of positivity in Meta apparently refers to Platform X, which has been criticized for its toxicity and excessive amount of disinformation.

We would like to remind you that Threads was launched in early July. In a matter of days, the app gained 100 million users, eclipsing the release of ChatGPT last year. Later, Meta launched a full-fledged web version of the social network.
