Billionaire Elon Musk is convinced that people who work from home take advantage of those who do not. In his opinion, such people are also “detached from reality.” The businessman said this during a call on Tesla’s quarterly results, writes The Verge.

Elon Musk expressed this opinion when discussing the increase in interest rates and their impact on the availability of cars.

“…what about all the people that have to come to the factory and and build the cars? What about all of the people that have to go to to the restaurant and make your food, and deliver your food? It’s like, what are you talking about…” Elon Musk said.

The billionaire was also asked to comment on price elasticity in the current environment. In response, he recalled sleeping in the factory “because it mattered,” referring to Tesla’s cost reduction.

Meanwhile, Tesla’s financial results in the third quarter of 2023 were quite ambiguous. For example, the company’s revenue increased by 9% to $23.4 billion compared to the previous year. However, net profit decreased by 44% to $1.85 billion. And this is despite the fact that Tesla’s car shipments increased by 27% over the year, to more than 435 thousand units.
