Ookla conducted a new mobile Internet download speed test, in which the iPhone 15 Pro Max outperformed its predecessor by 96%, setting a new record, reports 9to5Mac.
According to the results of the Ookla test, which was conducted on US mobile networks, the iPhone 15 Pro Max outperformed not only other Apple smartphones, but also competitors Galaxy 23 Ultra and Pixel 7 Pro.
With an average download speed of 251.37 Mbps, the iPhone 15 Pro Max is almost 100 Mbps ahead of its closest competitor from other companies. For comparison, the 14 Pro Max last year delivered 147 Mbps.
Of course, another important factor here is that mobile Internet in the US has also improved significantly over the past year, but it is clearly not 100 Mbps.
The iPhone 15 and 15 Plus, which have the same Qualcomm X70 modem as the 15 Pro Max, did not make it to the top. This may be due to the fact that they have an older A16 Bionic chip.
