Netflix is in talks with Take-Two about the potential release of Grand Theft Auto on the company’s gaming service. Of course, this is not about GTA 6, but rather about mobile versions of games such as Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
According to IGN, the streaming service wants to expand its Netflix Games catalog, which is why the company has “discussed plans” to release Grand Theft Auto through a license agreement with publisher Take-Two Interactive.
The outcome of these negotiations remains unknown, but even if both companies come to an agreement, we shouldn’t expect a new big game. Games on Netflix Games are currently available only for mobile devices, so even if a decision is made, it will be a mobile spin-off, or even existing mobile ports of Grand Theft Auto that will simply be added to the service.
