The annual revenue of the gaming industry can reach a grand figure of $350 billion. This opinion was expressed by Laura Miele, President of EA Entertainment and Head of Technology and Centralized Development at Electronic Arts, writes TweakTown.

“There’s 3.5 billion gamers in the world so they are certainly noticing what we’re creating, and it’s close to a $350 billion dollar industry, so it’s significant. It certainly outsizes some of the media, movie and TV content for sure,” she said in a recent interview with Bloomberg Technology.

She also shared what she admires about the gaming industry. For example, it is the fact that people express themselves creatively and socially in games.

In addition, Laura Miele sees significant potential for future growth by attracting people born in the second half of the 90s. We are talking about the generation of so-called buzzers and Gen Alpha.

By the way, in the summer, Electronic Arts announced an internal reorganization to expand the capabilities of creative teams. The reorganization meant the separation of EA Games and EA Sports, with the former being renamed EA Entertainment.
