Netflix has shown the first trailer of the tense thriller The Illusion of Safety / Leave the World Behind. The film is based on the book of the same name by Rumaan Alam.
The film brought together a star-studded cast: Julia Roberts, Ethan Hawke, Kevin Bacon and Mahershala Ali. The movie has a tense atmosphere and the trailer reflects this well.
The thriller shows a couple going on vacation. However, it is interrupted by two strangers who seek to hide from a cyberattack that threatens to have devastating consequences. We wonder what will come of it all.
On November 22, The Illusion of Safety is expected to be released in a limited release in the US, and on December 8, the film will be available on Netflix.
