Google has introduced Chromebook Plus, a new category of Chromebooks that should make it easier for consumers to choose more powerful models. Drawing parallels with Intel’s Evo program for Windows-based computers, the Chromebook Plus certificate will be awarded to laptops that meet the best technical criteria. This initiative aims to help even those customers who are not very well versed in technical specifications.

The key features of Chromebook Plus are:

Faster platform: each Chromebook Plus laptop must be equipped with 12th generation Intel Core i3 / AMD Ryzen 3 7000 processors or better, at least 8 GB of RAM, 128 GB of storage;

Display and camera:
ноутбуки мають бути оснащені IPS-дисплеєм з роздільною здатністю Full HD та вебкамерою з роздільною здатністю 1080p+;

Improved video calls: Chromebook Plus uses built-in artificial intelligence to improve video call clarity, lighting, and background noise. This feature is compatible with a variety of video conferencing apps such as Google Meet, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams;

Support for more demanding programs: Chromebooks Plus should run Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Express, and LumaFusion without any problems;

Artificial intelligence functions: Chromebook Plus integrates artificial intelligence capabilities directly into ChromeOS. Upcoming features include AI-assisted content creation on websites, image generation for personalized wallpapers, and AI background generation for video calls.

Starting October 8, 2023, the new Chromebook Plus laptops will be available for order at major U.S. retailers, including Best Buy, Amazon, Walmart, and Target. In Canada and Europe, they will be available starting October 9, 2023.
