HBO Max has presented the official trailer of the sci-fi animated series Scavengers Reign, created by Joseph Bennett and Charles Guettner.

The series, based on the 2016 short film Scavengers, tells the story of a spaceship crew stranded on an alien planet after an accident and trying to survive, adapt to the strange environment and find their way home.

The animation and visuals of the series have a very powerful influence of Jean Mébius Giraud’s classic works, such as Arzach and The Incal. Nothing is clear, but it is very interesting.

The first season of Scavengers Reign is set to start on HBO Max on October 19, 2023.
