Meta updates the Facebook logo. The changes are hardly drastic, but they are there. The blue color has become slightly darker, and the letter “f” looks a little different, writes The Verge.

The company says that it strives to make the updated design, in particular, more bold. It also emphasizes that the improvements contribute to greater harmony of the entire design as a key element of the app’s identity.

“We’ve done this by incorporating a more confident expression of Facebook’s core blue color that is built to be more visually accessible in our app and provides stronger contrast for the “f” to stand apart,” the company’s blog says.

In addition, Meta has updated the Facebook label. To improve the overall readability, Facebook’s own Sans font was used.

The social network also introduced a new color palette and improved the look of reactions. The company described the changes as “the first phase of an updated identity system” for the app.
