Platform X, which was previously known as Twitter, is “switching to a small monthly fee.” This was stated by Elon Musk during a live broadcast of a conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, writes CNBC.

According to him, fees for using the X system are being introduced to combat “huge armies of bots.” It is not yet known exactly how much X users will have to pay and what this subscription will include.

Meanwhile, during the broadcast, the billionaire announced the platform’s statistics. It currently has 550 million monthly users who generate 100-200 million posts per day. Although Elon Musk did not disclose how many of them are real users and how many are bots.

The discussion with Benjamin Netanyahu was supposed to focus on the theoretical risks of artificial intelligence technology and how AI should potentially be regulated. However, Elon Musk also used it to deny the idea that his social network tolerates hate speech and anti-Semitism.

Recently, Elon Musk announced the intention of the company X to file a lawsuit against the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) for defamation. The billionaire accused the ADL, an organization that fights anti-Semitism, of falsely accusing him and X of anti-Semitism.
