Off The Grid: the first gameplay trailer of the game from Ukrainian-German studio Gunzilla Games
The first gameplay trailer of the ambitious battle royale 2.0 Off The Grid by Ukrainian-German studio Gunzilla Games has been released.
The game, which is being developed by about 200 developers in Kyiv and Frankfurt am Main, was announced in May 2022 as a new take on the Battle Royale genre.
As a reminder, Off The Grid has a very ambitious team, including the famous director and screenwriter Neill Blomkamp (District 9, Elysium, Chappie, Demonic), science fiction writer Richard Morgan (Altered Carbon, Broken Angels, Furies Awakened), and many people from Crytech, 4A Games, and Frogwares.
The gameplay trailer looks weaker in terms of graphics than the miniseries that Neill Blomkamp is creating based on the game’s universe, and so far it doesn’t show anything that would radically distinguish Off The Grid from other PvEvP games.
At the time of the announcement, it was said that Off The Grid would be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC sometime in 2023, at least in beta status. At the moment, the developers do not name any specific release dates.
