Epic Games has announced the Epic First Run program, which will allow developers to receive 100% of their revenue during 6 months of exclusive distribution in the Epic Games Store.

By participating in Epic First Run, a developer with a new project that has not yet been released on other platforms or subscription services will receive all sales revenue for 6 months, without deducting Epic’s share. After this time, the revenue will be distributed according to the standard Epic Games Store scheme – 88% to the developer, 12% to the store. At the same time, developers can sell their games on their own websites or on such keyless integration platforms as Humble Bundle, GOG, Fanatical, Green Man Gaming, and some others.

The Epic First Run program will start on October 16, 2023. Such a generous offer from the Epic Games Store may encourage many developers to launch their games first on EGS in the Early Access mode and then on other platforms. Epic Games continues to grow its audience, which currently has 230 million accounts, 68 million of which are active during the month.
