German studio Chimera Entertainment has finally shown a bit of gameplay of the fantasy 4X strategy game Songs of Silence with a turn-based strategy part and fast-paced real-time battles using command cards.

Despite the large number of settings and strategies, and almost 100 different units, the battles themselves last only a minute. The game features unit cards, battle spells, global spells, construction, and upgrades. Songs of Silence also has a striking art nouveau visual style and music by Hitoshi Sakimoto, the composer of Final Fantasy Tactics, Final Fantasy 12, and Valkyria Chronicles.

So far, only Steam has been named among the platforms, and the game has no release date yet.
