The Alienware brand presented a completely new gaming desktop PC Aurora R16. It is built on the principles of the Legend 3 design concept. The new design ensures efficient airflow – the computer should run even quieter and stay cooler, while providing the user with the same or better performance than the predecessor Aurora R15.
Alienware specifies that the Aurora R16 should run about 20% quieter than the R15, with CPU and GPU temperatures dropping by 10% and 6% respectively. At the same time, the PC case became more compact by 40%, although the volume of internal space remained 25.2 liters.
Aurora R15 vs Aurora R16
Aurora R16 can be equipped with Intel 12th and 13th generation processors up to Intel Core i9-13900F. Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 / RTX 4070 Ti (for the US and Canada) or RTX 3050 / RTX 4080 (for Europe and Asia) video cards will be responsible for graphics processing. The maximum amount of RAM is 64 GB (2×32 GB, DDR5, 5200 MHz), the drive is 4 TB (M.2 PCIe NVMe). You can also add a second drive of the same capacity. Z690 motherboard is being used.
In addition, the Aurora 16 can be equipped with a 500 W or 1000 W power supply, an air or water cooling system, an Intel Killer Wi-Fi 6E AX1675 module. One USB-C port (10 Gbit/s), three USB-A (5 Gbit/s) and a 3.5 mm audio jack are provided on the front panel. There are also three zones of LED illumination (oval illumination on the side, Alienware logo and 120 mm fan).
The price of the Alienware Aurora R16 starts at $1,749 (Core i7-13700F, RTX 4070, 16 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD).
