These two cars are very similar in design, both built on the MQB-A0 platform, and even appeared on the market almost at the same time. It is not surprising that the planned update is carried out for two models at once.

Let’s start with the Skoda Kamiq car, since it is a crossover – therefore, it is automatically more popular among buyers: since the beginning of the model’s release, about 351,000 cars have been sold. The updated Skoda Kamiq crossover definitely cannot be confused with its predecessor: it received new headlights (they are also two-story, but of a changed shape), a different front bumper and a modified radiator grill appeared. And behind, the lanterns immediately catch the eye – they seem to be divided into pieces.

Besides, as it is usually the case with updates, new options for wheel rims and equipment appeared. By the way, the level of equipment has also improved somewhat: for example, from now on all versions of the Skoda Kamiq (as well as for the Skoda Scala) will receive a digital instrument panel with an 8-inch monitor and an 8.25-inch touchscreen display. A 10.25-inch instrument panel and an enlarged 9.2-inch central display are available as options.

Similar changes took place for the Skoda Scala model: new headlights and lights, bumper and grill, wheels. The Skoda Scala hatchback generally looks more concise and attractive, especially in the MONTE CARLO version: black decor on the outside, sporty hints inside. By the way, the maximum version of the Skoda Scala (as well as for the Skoda Kamiq) will also receive TOP LED Matrix headlights – this is the first time that matrix headlights are used on Skoda cars of this class.

Also, for the first time in this class, the Skoda company will use a “virtual pedal”: opening the trunk lid by foot movement under the rear bumper. As for the engines, there are no changes – both cars in Europe will be offered with 1.0 TSI or 1.5 TSI gasoline engines (95-150 hp) and with conventional “mechanics” or DSG automatic transmission.

Sales of two cars on the European market will start already this fall; that is, they should be expected a little later in Ukraine.
