Rapper Travis Scott’s latest album UTOPIA has set the record for the most first-day streams of an album on Apple Music in 2023.

Released on July 28, UTOPIA is a 19-track double album featuring superstars like Beyoncé and Drake. The editors of Apple Music described the record as “an extremely exciting album that combines stellar energy and experimental artistry.”

UTOPIA’s record-breaking first-day listening figures surpassed other 2023 hit releases, including Taylor Swift’s Speak Now (Taylor’s Version). This achievement is particularly notable given that Scott managed to live up to the anticipation and hype surrounding the album, which was released five years after Scott’s smash hit ASTROWORLD.
