Along with foldable smartphones and smartwatches, Samsung also updated its Galaxy Tab lineup at its Galaxy Unpacked event. It consists of three models Galaxy Tab S9, Tab S9+, and Tab S9 Ultra, which traditionally differ in a set of specifications and functions.
Among the common features of all models is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor for Galaxy (an overclocked version of the chip) and protection against water and dust according to the IP68 standard. But other key features of the models still have differences.
The entry-level Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 has an 11-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The case dimensions are 165.8×254.3×5.9 mm. The weight of the Wi-Fi-only model is 498 grams, and 5G support will add another 2 grams. The tablet received two variants of memory configurations: 8/128 and 12/256 GB. The Galaxy Tab S9 also has one 13-megapixel primary camera and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle front camera. The tablet also received a battery with a capacity of 8,400 mAh.
The cost of the Galaxy Tab S9 Wi-Fi starts at UAH 36,999, and with a larger memory, it starts at UAH 42,999.
The “older” model of Samsung Galaxy Tab S9+ will offer a larger 12.4-inch display, which accordingly affects the dimensions of the case – 185.4×285.4×5.7 mm. The weight also increases to 581 and 587 grams (depending on the availability of 5G support). The front camera is the same as that of the Tab S9, and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera is also added to the main one. In this case, the battery capacity also increases to 10,090 mAh, and the configuration includes only one memory option — 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage.
The price of the Galaxy Tab S9+ starts at UAH 54,999.
And the flagship of the line remains Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra. It has an even larger display — 14.6 inches, and the dimensions of the case are 208.6×326.4×5.5 mm, the weight of which is 732 (Wi-Fi) or 737 (5G) grams. The main camera unit here is no different from the Tab S9+, but there are two front cameras: wide-angle and ultra-wide-angle, the resolution of which is 12 MP each. Such a tablet will have two configurations of memory, which will contain 12/512 GB or 16 GB of RAM and one-terabyte storage. The battery capacity in this case is 11,200 mAh.
The flagship version of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra tablet will cost from UAH 69,999 for the 512 GB version, and from UAH 79,999 for the 1 TB version.
