Honor presented a new folding smartphone Magic V2. The main emphasis of the brand is on the compactness of the device, because it is the thinnest foldable smartphone on the market today. Its thickness is 9.9 mm (4.7 mm when unfolded), and its weight is 231 grams. These indicators are smaller than competitors – Samsung Galaxy Fold4 (14.2 mm, 263 grams), Google Pixel Fold (12.1 mm, 283 grams), Huawei Mate X3 (11.8 mm, 239 grams), Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 (11.2 mm, 262 grams). The Magic V2 weighs even less than the iPhone 14 Pro Max (240 grams).
Both smartphone displays have a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The diagonal of the main LTPO OLED screen is 7.92″, the resolution is 2344×2156 pixels. The external display (OLED, 6.43″, 2376×1060) has a peak brightness of up to 2500 nits. In addition, the screens support work with a stylus and have cutouts for 16 MP front cameras.
Inside the device is a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, 12/16 GB of RAM and a storage device with a capacity of up to 1 TB. The main 50 MP camera (f/1.9, OIS) is complemented by a 50 MP ultra-wide-angle camera (f/2.0) and a 20 MP telephoto lens (2.5x optical zoom, OIS). The 5000 mAh battery supports 66 W charging.
Honor Magic V2 has been announced for China, it is not yet known if the smartphone will be available in global markets. The cost of the novelty is as follows:
