After the registration of the controversial draft law “On the use of the English language” (the popular name is the “Subtitles Law”) in the Verkhovna Rada, Rakuten Viber conducted a survey among the Ukrainian audience of this popular messenger about the plans of Ukrainians to learn English.

And although 60% of Ukrainians plan to improve their English, unfortunately, every fourth respondent (24%) does not see the need to study English. More than 73,500 Ukrainians took part in the survey.

We will remind you that the draft law “On the use of the English language” was registered in the parliament on June 28, 2023. So far, it is only a draft law that is awaiting the first and second reading, and which, given the very controversial reaction of a part of society, will most likely not be adopted.
