Xiaomi has expanded its range of inexpensive smartphones with the new Redmi 12 model. The novelty received a 6.79″ display with a Full HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 90 Hz. There is an 8 MP front camera in the upper part of the screen.

Inside the smartphone is a Helio G88 chipset, 4 GB / 8 GB of RAM and a 128 GB / 256 GB storage. There is a slot for microSD cards, a fingerprint scanner on the side, a 3.5 mm audio jack and protection against moisture according to the IP53 class.

The main 50 MP camera module is complemented by an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 2 MP macro camera. The battery capacity is 5000 mAh, 18 W charging is supported.

Redmi 12 is offered in black, blue and silver colors. The price in Thailand is $153 for the 8/128 GB version. But in Europe, the price of the smartphone is expected to be €199 for the basic configuration of 4/128 GB.
