A hacker attack was carried out on Ukrainian media Suspilne’s websites. Because of this, the media appealed to the state computer emergency response team CERT-UA.

“Suspilne has suffered a hacker attack: some of our sites are temporarily down. We are solving the problem. At the same time, all Suspilne News platforms, in particular the suspilne.media website, work without interruption. Also read us on social media: Telegram, Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, Viber,” the Suspilne team informed.

Hackers from the Russian Solntsepyok group have already claimed responsibility for the attack.

“Specialists of the state computer emergency response team CERT-UA, which operates under the State Service of Special Communications, together with responsible employees of Suspilne and law enforcement agencies, are currently investigating and processing the incident at the media’s request,” CERT-UA noted.

Other media resources did not contact us with reports about alleged cyber incidents and/or cyber attacks.

We will remind that in the spring, the spokesman of the State Service of Special Communications Volodymyr Kondrashov stated that Russia was trying to attack civilian infrastructure in cyberspace. He added that CERT-UA monitors the activities of more than 80 hacker groups. Most of them are groups from Russia, and 90% of their members are the military of the aggressor country.
