Instagram continues to experiment with statuses called Notes in its app. Another update allows you to add a song to your status – similar to how you could do it in messengers from the 2000s.

As a reminder, you can add personal statuses in the messages section of the Instagram application. They have a 60 character limit and are displayed for 24 hours. Other users can reply to your status.

From now on, you can attach a 30-second part of the song to your status, as well as write a short message. Your friends, in turn, will be able to immediately listen to this excerpt of the song instead of searching for the track in streaming services. Instagram also added a button to translate statuses into other languages.
