The Korean division of LG introduced the LG StandbyME Go 27LX5 – a portable display that is mounted inside a suitcase.

This rather unusual gadget is equipped with a 27-inch touchscreen display with 1080p resolution and Dolby Vision support. The screen has a mount that allows you to place it at a different angle, as well as rotate it by 90 degrees. The device has built-in 20 W speakers with Dolby Atmos support that adapt to the position of the display. The battery is enough for about 3 hours of work.

LG StandbyME Go 27LX5 runs on the webOS platform, which is used in many of the company’s TVs. Users can stream content from smartphones using AirPlay or screen mirroring. There are also HDMI and USB-A ports for wired connection, and a remote control is also included. LG says that the case has passed a series of strength and endurance tests, so it should reliably protect the internal components.
