Gamedev.DOU.ua site published the results of another study of the Ukrainian game development market. Game companies that develop their own products – mobile, AA, and AAA projects, as well as outsourced studios and game dev startups of IT companies – entered the new Top 25 game dev companies of Ukraine.

The largest Ukrainian game company is Playrix, which has Russian origins and still employs developers from the aggressor country. In Ukraine, Playrix has offices in Kyiv and Kharkiv. The total number of employees in Ukraine is 1,273 specialists.

A few more companies on the list had connections with the aggressor country, but most of them stopped operating on the territory of Russia.

Most likely, most of the names in this list will not tell you anything, because most Ukrainian game companies are outsourced companies or studios that develop mobile games.

A total of 9,074 workers work in the Top-25 Ukrainian gaming companies, 7,386 of whom are technical specialists.

In 2023, the Top-25 companies have 1,300 game development specialists less than in 2022. Some moved abroad, some went to the front. 13 companies from the top 25 have negative growth dynamics. 11 of them are product. Ubisoft lost more than others – immediately minus 348 employees. On the contrary, outsourcing companies are growing and hiring specialists.
