Flightradar24 registered a record number of planes in the air. On May 26, 2023, the service Flightradar24 registered a record number of planes, which were in the air – more than 22 thousand.
A day earlier, it recorded a record number of flights during the day – 253 thousand flights.
22,000 flights in the air right now, topping the most we’ve ever tracked at one time.

Despite very poor forecasts for post-Covid-19 flight growth, which said pre-Covid passenger traffic would not recover until 2025-28, according to analyst firm OAG it has already reached almost the level of the record year 2019. And as a result of the increase in air cargo transportation, it surpassed it in terms of the total number of flights.
