Stealth action/adventure The Lord of the Rings: Gollum by Daedalic Entertainment / Nacon is finally out and it’s the worst game of 2023 so far, according to critics and players alike.

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum gets criticized for almost everything. For the irresponsibility of promises, for high system requirements, for very weak graphics, for Gollum’s muzzle, for numerous bugs, and for uninteresting gameplay.

According to Metacritics, PC and PlayStation 5 versions of The Lord of the Rings: Gollum are currently in the last two positions on the game of the 2023 rating. The PC version is 297th with a rating of 43/100; PlayStation 5 version is in the last position, 298th, with 40/100.

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is even worse than Crime Boss: Rockay City – 52/100 and Redfall – 54/ 100.

According to OpenCritic, The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is rated at 42/100 and only 4% of critics recommend this game to players.

The players themselves are also not happy with what Daedalic Entertainment made. The Lord of the Rings: Gollum Steam rating is mostly negative – 34/100.

We will remind you that The Lord of the Rings: Gollum was announced in 2019 and the game was supposed to be released in 2021, but the release was postponed twice. It didn’t help.

Will any of the big developers be able to break this “record” before the end of the year?
