Since the beginning of 2023, OnlyFans has been charged $620,000 in Google tax. This is reported in the Telegram channel by the chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy Danylo Hetmantsev.

According to him, since the beginning of the year, the company has paid UAH 23.3 million to the budget.

“Let us add that the service has completely left the Russian Federation and finances only our army,” Hetmantsev emphasized.

He also reported that according to the results of the simplified value added tax declarations submitted for the first quarter of this year by non-residents, almost 23.5 million euros and $27.1 million or 1.9 billion UAH were declared.

“The largest amounts were declared for the 1st quarter of 2023 by the companies Google Play, Google, Etsy, SONY, Netflix, Apple, META, Valve Software, AMAZON. As of April 1, 2023, there are 87 taxpayers on the tax register, which is 30 more non-residents compared to the number of such persons registered as of April 1, 2022,” the chairman of the parliamentary committee noted.

In addition, this year, as of May 24, international companies have paid almost UAH 3.2 billion in VAT to the army.

“The tax payment deadline for the 1st quarter of 2023 is June 9, 2023, so more than 0.7 billion hryvnias of tax is still expected,” Hetmantsev wrote.

We will remind that in the summer of 2021 the so-called Law on the Google tax came into effect, which introduces VAT taxation (20%) of electronic services supplied by non-residents to natural persons (except private enterpreneur non-VAT payers), when the place of supply is located in the customs territory of Ukraine.

Paid internet services fell under the tax, including OnlyFans, which is actively used as a platform for adult content.
