Apple Watch Series 9 will receive a significant increase in performance thanks to the new chipset

This year, Apple seems to have taken the Apple Watch seriously. In a month, at the WWDC 2023 conference, we will see a new version of the watchOS operating system, which should receive significantly redesigned interface. watchOS 10 will be one of the biggest updates in recent years, however, the new generation smartwatches themselves should receive a tangible upgrade.

Mark Gurman believes that the Apple Watch Series 9 will be equipped with the S9 chipset, which uses the same technologies as the A15 chip (installed in the iPhone 13 line). Considering that the S8 chip was not very different from the S7, the novelty should give a significant increase in speed and power.

At the same time, it is expected that the S9 will become more energy efficient, although it is unlikely that the new smartwatch will be able to offer better battery life than its predecessors. At least, insiders have not yet reported on this.
