The Cupra company has added an interesting electric car to its own model line. It is a coupe-like 5-door crossover Cupra Tavascan.

The creators really tried to make the novelty look like a car with a “coupe” body. Just look at the dynamic slopes of the front and rear roof racks, the pointed headlights and narrow lights with triangular elements, as well as the large wheels (for this 4.64-meter electric car, 19- or even 21-inch wheels are offered).

However, the novelty is able to attract attention not only with its appearance. The electric crossover is built on the MEV platform, which is used for Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda and other electric cars, but it received the most powerful options of electric motors. For example, the standard version of the Cupra Tavascan offers rear-wheel drive and one electric motor with a capacity of 286 hp. And the version with all-wheel drive has two electric motors and 340 hp in total. Both variants are equipped with batteries with a capacity of 77 kWh, thanks to which the electric car can cover a distance of up to 517 km (all-wheel drive) or even up to 549 km (rear-wheel drive).

It is also worth noting that the Cupra Tavascan electric crossover received a suspension with the ability to adjust the stiffness of shock absorbers and a progressive “sports” steering mechanism. By the way, the sports theme continues in the interior of the new product: seats with massive side stops, a steering wheel with buttons for changing driving modes. You can also note the “rib” of the central console and the 15-inch display.

The new Cupra Tavascan is already being prepared for production, but it will still have to wait for a little while – sales of the electric car will start only in 2024.
