Last year, only Apple managed to maintain a good pace of sales of its computers. A significant part of this success was the MacBook Pro models with M1 Pro and M1 Max processors, which were in demand among buyers for quite a long time. But now Apple has also suffered the fate of other manufacturers.

The fairly iterative upgrade to the M2 chips didn’t get as much attention. According to the analytical company IDC, in the first quarter of this year, compared to last year, the supply of Macs decreased by 40%. It is because of this that Apple recently even suspended the production of new processors, because the demand did not match the desired forecasts.

During this period, the company shipped 4.1 million devices, due to which it took the fourth place in the list of the largest suppliers. The leader among them is Lenovo with an indicator of 12.7 million units (a drop of 30%).

Apple’s decline is said to be the biggest this year. But the whole market is also losing, with a total reduction of a whopping 29%.
