As reported by the developers team, the Dolphin emulator should be released on Steam in the second quarter of this year.

Dolphin allows you to run games from the classic Nintendo GameCube and Wii consoles on PC, and offers additional improvements compared to the original platforms: the ability to instantly save the state of the game, network play, high resolution (the emulator supports 4K monitors), support for modern controllers, etc.

Dolphin is open-source and will be available on Steam for free — initially in the form of early access, and, according to the developer, it will also be compatible with the Steam Deck.

For those unfamiliar with the specifics of the emulator, it is worth noting that, like other emulators, Dolphin does not contain its own games – the developer offers to manually copy the games you own into an emulator-compatible format.
