Capcom’s remake of Resident Evil 4 was released three days ago, but it has already managed to collect very positive feedback from players and the media and set a record for the number of players at the launch of the game on Steam.

On the second day after its release, on Saturday, March 25, 2023, the updated Resident Evil 4 collected 168 191 simultaneous players on PCs. This is one and a half times more than Resident Evil Village had two years ago.

As for ratings, the game has 91-93 on Metacritics depending on platform and 97% on Steam with almost 18,000 reviews.

So it looks like Capcom managed to create a good remake again. Now we are waiting for the update of Resident Evil 5 (2009), and there we can go for the second round… It seems that remakes have already become one of the main trends of the gaming industry in the 2020s.
