Tesla’s competitor in the premium segment, Lucid Motors, has announced a useful innovation for its Air electric car. From now on, car owners will be able to use wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto (it is not yet clear whether Android Auto also has wireless connectivity).

Judging by the small teaser published by Lucid Motors, CarPlay will not be able to use the entire useful display area of the multimedia system. The latter has a custom shape, so the rectangular CarPlay window will be centered, with your CarPlay wallpaper visible in the background.

Lucid Air now supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto

In any case, support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto adds some bonuses to the Lucid Air compared to competitors from Tesla or Rivian. So we await the answer of the latter — will they integrate systems from Apple and Android, or will they hold on to their own multimedia systems until the end?
