The first Windows laptop equipped with an Arm processor appeared in Dell’s assortment. This is the Inspiron 14 model, which is already offered in versions with Intel and AMD processors.

The Arm variant of the Inspiron 14 received a not-the-latest, but still powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2 chipset with Adreno 690 graphics. Inside the laptop, 8 GB of RAM (LPDDR4x, 2133 MHz) and an NVMe SSD with a capacity of 256 GB are installed. The 14-inch display has a Full HD resolution.

The laptop is equipped with two USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 ports, one USB-A 2.0, a 3.5 mm audio jack, a microSD slot, a 1080p webcam, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 modules. The battery capacity is 40 W•h, charging is via USB-C (65 W). Unfortunately, the keyboard does not have a backlight.

The Arm version of the Dell Inspiron 14 is priced at $499, so it’s a pretty good option for basic tasks for the price.
