Rumors about Counter-Strike 2 on the Source 2 engine have been around for quite some time, but most players still did not believe that Valve would take such a step. But it seems that all these rumors were not groundless.

Initially the Valve community noticed support for new executables called csgos2.exe and cs2.exe in NVIDIA drivers.

Counter-Strike 2 in production, beta coming this month?

And now there is additional unofficial information – from an esports journalist Richard Lewis, who in the past has repeatedly posted reliable data about Counter-Strike. According to his unnamed sources, the new Counter-Strike is “absolutely real”, the game has been in production for some time and may be released under the name Counter-Strike 2.

What’s more: he claims that the first beta will most likely be released this month. Valve plans to do it by April 1. It is also reported that Counter-Strike 2 has been a priority project at Valve for some time, which is why the company has not paid much attention to CS:GO recently.
