Last October, Xiaomi introduced the smartphone Redmi Note 12 Discovery Edition, which supports 210 W charging. It allows you to fully charge a smartphone battery with a capacity of 4300 mAh in just 9 minutes. Recently, the Realme brand released a GT3 model with support for 240 W charging. It has a slightly larger battery with a capacity of 4600 mAh, which can fully charge from 1% to 100% in 9 minutes and 37 seconds.

At the MWC 2023 exhibition, Xiaomi brought a demo sample of 300 W charging. It can charge a Redmi Note 12 Pro+ smartphone with a 4100 mAh battery in less than 5 minutes. A little over a minute is enough to restore 20% of the charge. The smartphone reaches half of the charge in 2 minutes and 11 seconds, and 100% in 4 minutes and 54 seconds.

It is worth noting that in the video, the charging of the smartphone reaches a peak power of 290 W for only a few seconds. Despite this, the result is still impressive.

The company claims that the battery uses more powerful components than the Redmi Note 12 Discovery Edition battery. Together with an improved electrolyte formula, this allows for higher charging speeds while reducing the amount of heat generated in the process. However, Xiaomi has not yet clarified when we will be able to see this technology in production models.
