Aside from screen size and battery capacity, there isn’t much difference between the two laptops. The user can choose between touch and normal panels with resolutions and matrices: 1920×1200 IPS, 2.8K OLED (Z13 Gen 2), 4K OLED (Z16 Gen 2). All three panels have a peak brightness of 400 nits.

The Lenovo ThinkPad Z16 and ThinkPad Z13 are equipped with AMD Ryzen 7000 processors. Unfortunately, the company does not mention the exact models, and in this generation, AMD’s 7000 series has several classes of processors, each with a different TDP and number of cores. However, the notebooks are known to use integrated Radeon graphics, and the ThinkPad Z16 model will be configured with a discrete Radeon RX 6500M graphics card.

Both laptops can be equipped with an SSD drive of up to 2 TB and 64 GB of LPDDR5x RAM.

The Lenovo ThinkPad Z16 and ThinkPad Z13 share a similar set of connectors, which include two USB 4.0 ports and one 3.5mm audio combo jack. The Z16 also has an additional USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C port and an SD card reader.

Both models support Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3, and a configuration with a 4G LTE modem will also be available for the ThinkPad Z13. The laptops’ built-in FHD webcams are equipped with a privacy curtain and support Windows Hello.

The ThinkPad Z13 should go on sale in Europe in July 2023 starting at €1,649, while the ThinkPad Z16 will be available later in August 2023 starting at €1,959.
