At the MWC exhibition currently taking place in Barcelona, Google announced new features for Android and Wear OS – in particular, improved scaling of web pages in the mobile version of the Chrome browser. This should make life easier for people who find it difficult to read small text on a small smartphone screen.

Improved scaling will allow you to enlarge the content in the browser – text, images, videos and controls – up to 300%, while preserving the formatting of the page. The user can set the desired default magnification to avoid having to adjust this setting on each new page.

You can try the new feature now, in beta versions of Chrome: it is located in the browser settings in the Accessibility section. It should appear in the release version of Chrome in March.

Mobile Google Chrome will get an improved page zoom function
