New WH-CH720N headphones have appeared in the Sony range, which can be attributed to the middle price segment. However, the novelty received some flagship specifications.

In particular, we are talking about the V1 chip, which can be found in the Sony WH-1000XM5 top model. It should provide high sound quality and effective operation of the active noise reduction system. The WH-CH720N costs $149.99, while the WH-1000XM5 costs $399.

WH-CH720N received 30 mm dynamic drivers, a Bluetooth 5.2 module, the ability to simultaneously connect to two sound sources, a connector for wired connection, support for DSEE (Sony’s proprietary technology that improves the sound of compressed audio files from services such as Spotify). Battery lasts up to 35 hours with the active noise cancellation system on and up to 50 hours without ANC.

Sony announced the WH-CH720N headphones with noise cancellation and the flagship V1 chip

Obviously, the quality of noise cancellation in the WH-CH720N should be slightly worse than in the WH-1000XM5, because the flagship model has an additional ANC chip. Despite this, the specifications of the headphones are very solid, especially considering their cost. Sony WH-CH720N are available in three color options: blue, black, and white.

In addition, Sony introduced the WH-CH520 model. It does not have support for active noise cancellation technology, but it still offers up to 50 hours of battery life, DSEE support, and the ability to simultaneously connect to two sound sources. The headphones are priced at $59.99 in the US.
