Xbox head Phil Spencer back in December promised to bring the Call of Duty franchise to Nintendo consoles, announcing a deal between the companies.

And now finally “everything is official”: Microsoft President Brad Smith announced that the contract with Nintendo is signed for a period of 10 years, during which Xbox and Activision games will be released on the Nintendo platform at the same time as their releases on Xbox consoles – with the same content and functionality as on the Microsoft platform.

Microsoft signs 10-year deal with Nintendo: finally Call of Duty on Switch?

Interestingly, this contract, which is mainly advertised as the availability of the Call of Duty franchise on Nintendo consoles, was signed even before the finalization of the deal between Microsoft and CoD owner Activision, which is resisted not only by Sony, but also other companies, and whose approval is still in great question.
