Trailer of the movie about the creation and licensing of the Tetris game

Apple TV+ shared a trailer for feature film about the creation and licensing of Tetris for the Tetris event.

Based on real, albeit slightly dramatized, events, the film tells the story of Dutch game designer Henk Rogers (now president of The Tetris Company) trying to get the rights to Tetris from the Soviet Union.

The role of young Henk Rogers in the film was played by Taron Edgerton (Kingsman series, Eddie the Eagle, Rocketman). In addition, the film will feature Tetris inventor Alexey Pajitnov (Nikita Efremov), Nintendo’s third president Hiroshi Yamauchi (Togo Igawa) and the first/last president of the USSR, Mikhail Gorbachev (Matthew Marsh).

The movie about Tetris will be released on Apple TV+ on March 31, 2023.
