In 2019, Xbox owners gained the ability to control their consoles using Google Assistant voice commands. Now users have received a virtual remote control inside the Google Home application.

Once you’ve added your Xbox to Google Home, you can turn the console on and off, navigate the system, control media playback, change the volume, and more.

The functionality is available in the new version of the Xbox operating system 10.0.22621.3446 (xb_flt_2302ni.230208-1530). In addition, the February update includes the option to enable/disable the game image on the background of the Xbox home screen (Settings > General > Personalization > My background > Solid color and game art) and a new option to turn off the console, which makes power consumption 20 times lower compared to sleep function.
