Militarnyi with reference to Tagesschau, which quotes the spokeswoman of the German Ministry of Defense, reports the start of training for the Ukrainian military on Leopard 2 in Germany. Almost simultaneously with this, Radio Liberty released a video in which it tells about the beginning of training on Leopard 2 in Poland.

In both cases, the Ukrainian soldiers will undergo an accelerated training course, which will be completed by the end of the first quarter, when the Leopard 2 tanks are to be handed over to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

As Spiegel writes, part of the tankers arrived at the training ground of the school of tank troops in Münster (Lower Saxony) directly from the front line in the Bakhmut area. Ukrainian units are also training in Germany on Marder IFV.

Ukrainian soldiers began to master the Leopard 2 in Germany and in Poland at the same time

In 6-8 weeks, Ukrainian crews will learn the basics of weapons systems management and practice the interaction of Leopard 2 tanks and Marder IFVs.

As a reminder, the Armed Forces of Ukraine should receive about 40 Marder infantry fighting vehicles and two Leopard 2 (60-80 vehicles) tank battalions from Western partners. In addition, Ukraine expects almost two hundred (another 100 vehicles were added to the first 88) Leopard 1A5 tanks.
