Microsoft is working on adding native support for gaming accessories with RGB lighting in Windows 11. Gamers will be able to change the lighting settings without installing additional software from the manufacturer.
The new functionality was spotted in the test Windows 11 build 25295. The corresponding settings can be found under Personalization > Lightning. You can control the brightness of the backlight, apply different effects and even choose a color that will match the color accent of the system.
New settings for device lighting make an appearance in build 25295. Is this the beginning of the end for low quality RGB gamer gear apps? 🎮 The spec for this is from 2018 and references to the feature have been around for years. Not cancelled after all 🥳https://t.co/oG4JbKsoeB pic.twitter.com/bMtxCH8REo

Microsoft has not yet officially announced the introduction of RGB lighting control, but the company is working on a number of new experimental features that may be included in a major update to Windows 11 later this year.
